LOEWE is a Spanish luxury fashion house founded in 1846 specialising in leather goods, clothing, perfumes and other fashion accessories. Starting as a group of Spanish leather craftsmen in Madrid LOEWE was born when the craftsmen were joined by Enrique Loewe, a merchant of Hessian origin. By the early 20th Century, many notable people took great interest in Loewe and their design work and in 1905, Alfonso XIII granted them the Royal Warrant of Appointment and thus Loewe became Purveyor of the Royal Household of Spain. The company quickly grew in popularity and LOEWE’s fashion was being worn by the likes of Ernest Hemingway, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich and Sophia Loren.
Connecting this rich past and exciting present in line with the core values of the brand’s craftsmanship expertise, LOEWE’s eyewear is still completely rooted to the experimental spirit of the brand. Designing in a thoroughly playful manner, LOEWE adds beautiful colours and bold shapes. Each pair of LOEWE glasses are unique yet contemporary providing strong unisex styles with oversized frames and angular detailing.
